This two-day course is designed to satisfy the Virginia Board of Dentistry regulation for dentists who wish to possess and administer bo tulinum toxin injections for cosmetic purposes.

- Conduct a thorough patien t consultation to evaluate the potential need for and assess the suitabili ty of tox treatment
- Avoid\, recognize and manage adverse events
- Demonstrate proper photo and written documentation required for tox treatment \;
Biography:
Dr. Gigi Me inecke has been a leader in the field of facial injectables for over 20 ye ars. In 2013\, she founded FACES Education\, a program dedicated to provid ing medical and dental professionals with comprehensive training in both c osmetic and therapeutic injectables. FACES Education is distinguished by i ts rigorous focus on facial anatomy and evidence-based protocols\, ensurin g the highest standards of patient safety and esthetic outcomes. Beyond he r national teaching engagements\, Dr. Meinecke developed the Facial Inject ables program and curriculum for Boston University School of Dental Medici ne\, where she also serves as faculty. She directed the program for nearly a decade\, shaping the next generation of injectable providers. Dr. Meine cke is also a facial anatomy pro-sector and a recognized expert witness in injectable-related litigation\, offering specialized support in legal cas es within the field. Her publications include “Applications for Facial Inj ectables in Dentistry\,” “Lower Face Influence on Total Facial Esthetics\, ” and “When and How to Say No to Facial Injectable Patients.” She is autho r of the book\, “Start and Grow Your Cosmetic Injectable Practice.” Dr. Me inecke remains active in organized dentistry and has served on the Academy of General Dentistry’s Dental Practice Council\, the AGD’s Legislative an d Governmental Affairs Council and is a past Chair of the ADA Council on C ommunications. She is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry\, the I nternational College of Dentists\, the American College of Dentists and th e Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Meinecke maintains a private practice limit ed to facial injectables in Potomac\, Maryland. \;
