Synopsis:
Your practice culture is typically measured as the sum total of the most deeply held beliefs of the people of the organization. Is the behavior and performance of your organization coherent with those beliefs and aspirations? Is the product and the profit of your practice all that it can be?
A Harvard study of 200 businesses over ten years found a 759% better profit in organizations with strong cultures. In other words, it can be enormously profitable to build a great culture. Today’s workshop will focus on creating a culture that honors the value and potential of each individual while depending upon the collective power of a team to accomplish its mission of delivering great experiences to all of the people of the practice.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the Role of Leadership as the Currency of Culture
- How To Develop a "People First" Organization
- How To Create a Shared Mental Model in your Team
- What Are the Motivational Keys In Attracting, Developing, and Retaining Team
About Our Presenter:
For over 35 years, Dr. McDonald developed and continues to lead a thriving fee for service dental practice in Plano, Texas. He is actively involved in Dental Education as a visiting faculty member at Pankey Institute, Spear Education and a frequent speaker for numerous regional and national dental meetings. As he worked with dentists all over the United States, he saw firsthand the significant need for more effective leadership in dentists and dental practice owners of all ages.
Understanding the importance of establishing effective leadership for growth and change, Dr. McDonald enrolled in the Executive and Professional Coaching Program from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. He completed the program and formed "Line of Sight Coaching" with his long time friend and colleague, Dr. Joel Small. Their coaching practice focuses on leadership development for professionals seeking more rewarding, enjoyable, and profitable careers in today's complex marketplace. They are both certified to administer The Leadership Circle Profile. This assessment is widely considered one of the most scientifically validated leadership profiles available in 2021. Line of Sight Coaching is currently leading multiple "Leader to Leader" coaching mastermind groups.
Dr. Mac continues to be a student of leadership development, organizational culture, and business performance. He wrote "Unchanging Points of Light," a personal expression of values established from the Bible. These values serve as a guide for our lives.
