Synopsis:
Cybersecurity attacks – particularly within the healthcare industry – are top of mind for all organizations large and small, ranging from publicly traded companies to nonprofits to small doctors’ offices. This presentation will review common missteps that organizations make in their communications response to cybersecurity issues as well as other helpful tips for how our members can prepare for these types of attacks. From coordination with external advisors and legal counsel to notifying patients of potential PHI compromises, to media scrutiny – this webinar will touch on real life examples of how to prepare before a cyber crisis happens and equip you to respond to modern day cyber threats effectively and efficiently.

About our Presenters:
Meredith Griffanti is a Senior Managing Director in the Strategic Communications segment at FTI Consulting and is based in New York City. She is an award-winning Crisis Communications and Cybersecurity PR professional and is the Global Head of the firm’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Communications practice. She provides communications counsel to clients on both cybersecurity preparedness and incident response matters involving PII, PHI, IP and other sensitive data across a wide range of industries.
