The head and neck exam is one of the most important things a dentist can do for patients. This presentation will review common oral pathologies that you are likely to encounter during an exam, and it will improve your ability to construct differential diagnoses based on location and appearance. This presentation will also review concerning lesions such as oral potentially malignant disorders and signs of malignancy to help you stay vigilant. With new discoveries in head and neck cancer, this presentation will provide the most updated information on the process of cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Course Objectives:
• Synthesize oral anatomic subsites and most common pathology
• Highlight oral potentially malignant disorders
• Discuss the process of cancer diagnosis and treatment
