Endodontics is a rapidly evolving specialty that has seen tremendous advancement in equipment, technology, and materials in the past decade. This presentation will offer an overview of recent development in imaging, instrumentation systems, irrigation systems, and obturation materials. It will also touch upon the concept of minimally invasive endodontics and discuss regenerative endodontics as well as guided endodontics. These exciting new technology and materials have greatly improved the safety and efficiency of endodontic treatment and therefore may help our patients to better preserve their natural dentition.

Course Objectives:

Describe the main applications of cone beam CT in endodontics.

Become familiar with some of the new advances in endodontic instrumentation, irrigation, and obturation systems.

Discuss the indications, advantages, and limitations of regenerative endodontics and guided endodontics.
