Synopsis:
This presentation is based upon a simplified occlusal scheme involving the re-engineering of cusp tips and flat landing pads for better force distribution along the long axis of our teeth. This design can work no matter what occlusal philosophy you are in or what type of dentistry you are doing. Discussion will also focus on how to relay this information to your Lab Technician for the dental work they are fabricating for you. Force analysis will show why this system will increase your predictability and success in all aspects of your dentistry.
Course Objectives:
Learn the benefits of using a simple occlusal scheme utilizing cusp tips to flat landing pad contacts in all aspects of your dentistry.
Understand the force analysis in this occlusal setup that shows a favorable force distribution along the long axis of teeth in maximum intercuspation
Learn how to communicate to your Lab Technician how to achieve this simple occlusal setup in the lab work fabricated for you
