Two Full Days - 12 CE (Friday, May 8, 2026 and Saturday, May 9, 2026)

Registration for the Botox course will open to NVDS members on October 1, 2025

This two-day course is designed to satisfy the Virginia Board of Dentistry regulation for dentists who wish to possess and administer botulinum toxin injections for cosmetic purposes.

 A maximum of 24 dentists may participate in the course. Participating dentists must attend both full days of the training program and are encouraged to bring up to three staff for an additional fee.

 About Registration:

  • NVDS Members: Register Early and Save $250!
  • Register between October 1 and January 15 for the NVDS Member Early Bird Rate.
  • $2,500 Early Bird Rate ($2,750 after January 15)
  • Registration requires extra steps & documentation.
  • Fee includes course, injectables, breakfast (both days), lunch (Friday), and materials.
  • Other dentists who are not NVDS members may register starting on January 15, space permitting. Higher fees apply.

 About Staff Registration:

  • Staff must register with a dentist and may NOT hold any licensure or certification that qualifies them to administer facial injectables in any U.S. state or jurisdiction. This includes, but is not limited to, DDS, DMD, RN, MD, PA, NP, and RDH.
  • $125 per Eligible Staff Member
  • No early bird discount for staff. Up to 3 staff per dentist.

 About Patient Participation:

  • Each dentist must arrange for two patients to participate.
  • Patients may be current patients, staff, family, friends, or other dentists.
  • There are no registration fees or meals provided for patients.
  • Patient Group #1 – Arrive Fri, May 8 by 1:00 PM
  • Patient Group #2 – Arrive Sat, May 9 by 9:00 AM

Objectives:

At the completion of training, the participant should be able to:

  • Identify specific areas and features of the aging face that can be improved with tox treatment
  • Discuss indications for therapeutic treatment with botulinum toxins in the head and neck
  • Conduct a thorough patient consultation to evaluate the potential need for and assess the suitability of tox treatment
  • Avoid, recognize and manage adverse events
  • Demonstrate proper photo and written documentation required for tox treatment 

Biography:

Dr. Gigi Meinecke has been a leader in the field of facial injectables for over 20 years. In 2013, she founded FACES Education, a program dedicated to providing medical and dental professionals with comprehensive training in both cosmetic and therapeutic injectables. FACES Education is distinguished by its rigorous focus on facial anatomy and evidence-based protocols, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and esthetic outcomes. Beyond her national teaching engagements, Dr. Meinecke developed the Facial Injectables program and curriculum for Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where she also serves as faculty. She directed the program for nearly a decade, shaping the next generation of injectable providers. Dr. Meinecke is also a facial anatomy pro-sector and a recognized expert witness in injectable-related litigation, offering specialized support in legal cases within the field. Her publications include “Applications for Facial Injectables in Dentistry,” “Lower Face Influence on Total Facial Esthetics,” and “When and How to Say No to Facial Injectable Patients.” She is author of the book, “Start and Grow Your Cosmetic Injectable Practice.” Dr. Meinecke remains active in organized dentistry and has served on the Academy of General Dentistry’s Dental Practice Council, the AGD’s Legislative and Governmental Affairs Council and is a past Chair of the ADA Council on Communications. She is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Meinecke maintains a private practice limited to facial injectables in Potomac, Maryland.
