Member Volunteer Opportunities
VDA Delegate Volunteers
The Virginia Dental Association (VDA) House of Delegates (HOD) is the governing body of the association and plays a critical role in shaping policy and advancing organized dentistry across the Commonwealth. NVDS is seeking members who are interested in serving as component Delegates or Alternate Delegates to represent our Society and contribute to this important work at the state level. Delegates help set VDA policies and priorities, collaborate with colleagues from across Virginia, and guide the future of dentistry. The HOD is held in conjunction with VDA Dental Days at the Capitol in Richmond each January.
Members considering this opportunity are encouraged to review the HOD Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for details on the role, expectations, and time commitment. To volunteer or learn more, please contact the NVDS central office.
Your active involvement in our Society is crucial to its ongoing success. NVDS offers numerous ways for you to connect with colleagues, enhance your practice, advance the profession, and make a positive impact on our community. To explore these opportunities further, please view our Volunteer Opportunities Guide. Additionally, the ADA and VDA present additional avenues for members to get involved.
NVDS members are encouraged to complete the online survey to let us know what opportunities best align with your interests and expertise.
